I nurture belonging by uncovering the mosaic stories of our ancestors.

Welcome! I’m Chrislyn / 朱琦恩, an ancestral storyteller curious about the origin stories that shape who we are. As an Emmy-winning artist and facilitator, I guide descendants through the sacred work of reweaving their roots.

This season, my offerings invite us to witness and be fully witnessed in our stories. How may we honor the multitudes we carry, and metabolize grief and joy into collective resilience — so we can become better ancestors today?

Come explore your roots with me as I illuminate untold family histories in collaboration with heritage keepers such as Parents Are Human, My China Roots, the Center for Asian American Christianity, and the Asian American Christian History Institute.

Let’s Get Real

Who are you? Why?

Living between the U.S., China, and Malaysia, I constantly question the entangled stories in our heads that keep us from feeling whole and connected. (It’s why I studied neuroscience and film in college!) While there’s still much to (un-)learn, the truth I’ve found is this: Your identity between cultures is beautiful. It is a gift. You are descended from royalty, and the world would be a better place knowing your story.
